“We cannot say, at this point, na nagsisinungaling yung testigo, but neither can we accept that his testimony is the whole truth. Dapat ipagpatuloy ang pagtatanong hangga’t mailabas natin ang katotohanan,” Drilon said.

According to Matobato’s testimony included some statements on Thursday that Davao City mayor for over decades, had ordered the killings of bodyguards of former House Speaker Prospero Nograles, and also Sali Makdum, the international terrorist.

Senator Frankin Drilon said that if Matobato’s statement is false, then it will be proven over the course of the hearing.

We should not jump into any conclusion,” he said.

He said in a radio interview that Senator Leila De Lima was not required to present the witness because they were not pursuing a criminal case.
