Duterte off to Vietnam for working visit
President Rodrigo Duterte is set to leave and continues his tour of ASEAN countries for working visit and this time he will visit Vietnam on September 28 to 29.

According to Communication Secretary Martin Andanar, The DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez is set to join the president trip; the President will visit some Filipino communities in Vietnam.
“Oo, ang alam ko lang ho ay merong naka-schedule tentatively na meeting with the Filipino communities (Yes, I know there is a tentatively scheduled meeting with Filipino communities.)” Andanar said.
According to Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, the President working visit to Vietnam would likely discussing maritime disputes over South China Sea. Vietnam is also among claimant countries of Spratly Islands.
"It will be discussed I'm sure," Andanar said.
The president earlier this month was already visits Vientiane and Laos to attend ASEAN Summit. He was originally scheduled to visit Brunei first but is cancelled because of blast happen at night market in Davao City.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed that President Duterte would also visiting Japan, and it will happen late October. The visit would be aimed at pushing for greater trade activities.
President Duterte is also planning to visit Beijing by the end of this year.
