CHURCH and TESDA helps Duterte’s war on drugs, launch rehab programs
President Rodrigo Duterte administration and Philippine National Police (NPA) is currently at war against illegal drugs in the Philippines.
The Catholic Church and Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA) unite to launch rehabilitation programs for those who became addicted to using illegal drugs.
The rehabilitation called,”Sanlakbay Para sa Pagbabagong Buhay” which to be led by Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle.
The rehabilitation program which the drug dependents will be given activities and extra knowledge that will be enable to change their lifestyle and habits.
Cardinal Tagle said, “Sa pagtutulungan po nating lahat harinawa ay makatulong upang ang makapatid ay ma-restore, maging matuwid.”
“At ang ikatlo mga kapatid ay ang pangkabuhayan o skills training,”
Meanwhile, the drug dependents who want to change bad lifestyle and want to be educated, the TESDA offering different courses like, automotive, maritime courses, information technology, food and beverages service, carpenter, anc cosmetology.
“Lahat ng mamamayang Pilipino, lalo na yung ating nakakalungkot mang sabihin, ang ating drug dependents, magkaroon ng skill upang sila ay makapagtrabaho,” Said Luz Victoria Amponin. The executive director of TESDA.
