Gustong matuto: Digong may seek strategies from SG in dealing with drug traffickers


Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, during his state visit to Singapore, he will exprexted to exchange of ideas in dealing with drug-trafficking when he meets with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and President Tony Tan.


According to Antonio Morales, the Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, the drug problem ma be discussed during the meetings.

“I think that could be covered because Singapore has a strict policy against illegal drugs and has a good record in prosecuting drug traffickers and drug users. And as a hub, it has also experience in controlling the flow of illegal drugs but of course the circumstances of our two countries differ,” he said.

“Of course, their talk will cover the whole range of issues from our political cooperation to our economic relations including trade and investments. We expect that the issue of Fiipinos working in Singapore will also be covered in their discussions,” Morales said.

“We believe that this is a very important meeting,” he added.

Singapore are known as 4th largest trading partner of Philippines and a very close partners of the country.
