“I categorically deny joining rallies that called for the President’s ouster,” she said.

“Criticism is not conspiracy, and the administration is well advised to stop seeing “plots” behind every unflattering news report, irate citizens’ assembly, or angry Facebook post,” she said.

“It is the right of every citizen in our democracy to express her opinion, and this includes those critical of or in opposition to an incumbent government. This principle is a cornerstone of our free Republic,” Robredo added

Meanwhile, President Duterte in an interview, he claimed that he uncomfortable retaining Robredo in the Cabinet because of her supposed involvement in plans for his ouster.

“Ngayon nandiyan siya (Robredo), oust Duterte. Kinabukasan, kaharap ko siya sa Cabinet meeting, for example, or a day or two weeks after. Don’t you think it’s the height of incongruity to be facing somebody, to be there at the same time to be here?” Duterte said.

“Kung statement, the burial, pero kung pumupunta siya, nandoon pa si Roxas or the yellow. Eh ang yelo kasi sa probinsiya, ice eh. Eh matagal nang natunaw ‘yan. Wala akong magawa eh. So, her ouster from the Cabinet, from that time on, became a fait accompli,” he added.
