Bato bato sa langit…: Recto tells Dela Rosa to weed out cops giving PNP a bad name

Senate Minority Leader Ralph Recto has a strong message to Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa.

Recto said if Dela Rosa will not heed the calls for his resignation, Bato should start major reforms within the police force.

“Heads must roll. Consider a major reshuffle too. Ignore the political patrons of officers. Your motto should be: ‘Bato, bato sa langit, ang tamaan huwag magalit’,” Recto said.

After the killings happened to Korean businessman inside Camp Crame, PNP chief Dela Rosa received his criticism when he was reported to have attended a concert while the tragedy was raging.

Meanwhile, Ralph Recto dares PNP Chief Dela Rosa saying that he should stop being a “denial king.”

“If you are not ordered to resign from PNP, then reform the PNP. Start with acknowledging that problems do exist. Then follow it up with an action plan on how to resolve them. Don’t answer with excuses or alibis,” he said.
