Walang kinalaman si Duterte: Trillanes says it’s Noy who raised pay soldiers, cops

According to former soldier and currently Senador Antonio Trillanes IV that the former President Benigno Aquino III, not President Rodrigo Duterte to thank for the higher salaries of soldiers and policeman that they will enjoy starting this January 2017.

After AFP public affairs office chief Marine Col. Edgard Arevalo thanked President Duterte for their pay hike, Senator Trillanes made his clarification saying that the salaries of soldiers and police increased in accordance to Executive Order 201 signed by Aquino.

EO 201 says that officers allowance will receive allowance ranging from P3,000 to P18,000 and uniformed personnel allowance ranging from P547 to P35,260.

“President Duterte has nothing to do with this. His promise to double the salaries of soldiers and policemen remains an unfulfilled promise,” Trillanes said.
