Zero Tokhang = zero killings: Ping smells something fishy in PNP

According to Senator Panfilo Lacson, the zero killing right after the Philippine National Police suspended its anti-drug operations and focused on internal cleansing “says a lot.”

“(K)ailangan ipaliwanag ng PNP bakit ganoon. And the irony of it all, magpapaliwanag sila dahil walang namatay? Whereas before, nang active ang Tokhang and active ang PNP sa anti-drugs operation, we’re averaging 10 to 11 a day or overnight. I think it’s worth clarifying this with them,” he said in an interview with reporters.

“Ang covered ng instruction ng Chief PNP, ang PNP. Bakit parang ang vigilante sumunod, na wala silang napatay, walang riding-in-tandem, walang pinasok sa shanties? Pare-pareho tayong may tanong over our heads,” he added.

“After the CPNP ordered a halt to all anti-drugs operations by the police, no vigilante killing occurred overnight. Commendable coincidence.,” he said.

“Mas maganda huwag natin pagusapan. It’s good enough walang namatay magdamag. Kaya lang it cannot be helped na mag-isip tayong lahat, bakit ganoon,” he said.
