Jollibee sends 5,000 food packs to the soldiers in Marawi City

Photos of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police personnel deployed in Marawi City eating food from Jollibee proved that the friend chicken made from the Filipino fast food restaurant was the favorite choice of our warriors.
The Philippine Information Agency also confirmed that Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) in Illigan City distributed 5,000 food pacs to the Philippine Army and PNP personnel in Marawi City on Sunday, June 18, in time for the celebration of Father’s day.

The activity is part of JFC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) by implementing programs that address access to education, livelihood development, leadership development and disaster response.

Major Malvin Ligutan, executive officer of the 51st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army lauded the efforts of the company for distributing food packs to government troops.

During the first week of the Marawi City siege, a photo of soldiers holding a Jollibee food pack has gone viral on the internet, after they claimed that they used the helicopter of the Philippine Air Force to deliver the food.

Because of the love of the soldiers for chickenjoy and burger, netizens donated several food packs bought from Jollibee.

Jolibee Foods Corporation (JFC) also donated 5,000 food packs for the PNP and AFP personnel deployed in Marawi City

Members of the Scout Ranger also showed how to deliver it in the middle of the war.

"Ito ang most dangerous Jollibee delivery job. Habang nag i isnipe, may gumagapang gumagapang sa likod. Ingat na ingat. Pagputok ng one shot at natumba ang kalaban, sabay: "Jollibee delivery for you, sir sniper."

Happy Father's Day!"

A netizen even messaged Jollibee Facebook fan page to inform them about the love of the Filipino soldiers and cops to their product.

Cathleena Baybs shared in her Facebook account that someone asked Jollibee if they can donate some of their food for the soldiers in Marawi City.

"A text from a tita friend made me cry just now. As in JUST NOW. The text was:
