Soldier who got blind during operation got emotional in his message to President Duterte



Jerome Jacuba a 28-year old 2nd lieutenant who was blinded when shrapnel exploded near his eyes delivered message and shared the story of his struggles before he personally met President Rodrigo Duterte.

Acuba said before President Duterte visited the AFP Medical Center, he locked himself for 4 weeks and already fell hopeless.
But everything changes when the President Duterte personally visited and comforted him.

“marami pa akong gusting gawin, marami pa akong pangarap sa buhay, yung mga anak ko paano na sila? Hindi ko na makikita yung maglaki nila, hindi ko na makikita yung kung gaano sila kagaling mag drawing, kung gaano sila kagaling sumayaw, pero gayon pa man, simula noong bumisita doon si Presidente talagang nagbago ang lahat, at ito’y dahil sa isang panalangin” Jacuba said.

“Noong iniisa isa niya yung mga pasyente doon, saka noong lumapit siya sakin, yun palang sana yung pagkakataon na makakaharap ko at makikita sa personal ang isang president, pinagkait pa, so simula non, Nakita niyo naman sa mga social media na maraming salamat sa inyo Sor kasi nag viral ako dahil sayo” he said.

Jacuba also expressed his gratitude to President since after ther met, many blessings came to his life gives him new hope.

“Lahat ng mga blessings sir dumating na sakin sir mula nung dumating ka doon sir, masayang masaya ako sir kasi napansin ako ng karamihan doon lalo na yung mga organization na mga nagging daan para magkaroon ulit ng pag-asa.”

He also called President Duterte as a Hero of the Heroes.

“Kung kami man ay isang bayani sir, ikaw yung bayani ng gma bayani, ikaw yung bayani naming sir, ikaw yung nagbigay buhay, ikaw yung nag lift up ng morale naming mga sundalo, ikaw yung Presidente na nagikot lahat ng mga kampo, napaka sinsero yan talaga yung leader talaga sinsero sa kanyang ginagawa.”
