Duterte to Joma Sison: ‘Tama na daldalan, away na lang!

In a speech before businessmen in Davao City, President Rodrigo Duterte has shut the door on the prospect of forging a peace agreement with the communist after he declared he’s ready to fight them for another 50 years.

Duterte reacted to Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Ma. Sison’s statement that peace talks are already unnecessary due to the martial law in Mindanao.
“I believe you, Mr. Sison. You are right. We stop talking were wasting our time.” Duterte said.

‘This war that you are fighting, I was listening to you when I was a student. That was 50 years ago. Let us renew the fighting for another 50 years. It it’s what you want,” President Duterte said.

“Let the Filipinos sacrifice. Karamihan naman ng sundalo mo mahirap, taga-bukid and Lumads, and the indigenous people. Let them die. Me, I have an Armed Forces and Navy and police,” He said.

Duterte said he was already tired of talking to the communists, an endeavor which he said did not benefit the government despite the costs it incurred.

“So I might as well just use the money for whatever. Let’s stop fighting- let’s start fighting, stop talking,” He said.

Duterte earlier told soldiers in Marawi City they will be going after the NPA next after they are don’t pursuing the Maute terrorist group.
