Sotto: Drilon has to face music on why Senate hoarded P3M in toilet paper

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon has dodged media questions concerning the Commission on Audit (COA) report on the Senate incurring an estimated P3 million worth of overstocked or obsolete items during his incumbency as upper chamber chief.
Senate reporters have dodged Senator Drilon on his reaction on the said COA report which showed the upper chamber incurring excess stocks on toner cartridges, air freshner, AA batteries, paper fasteners, carbon paper and even toilet papers.

Senator Drilon, however, refused to give ant comment and was even irked why the media has picked on him to answer for the Senate’s purchases.

But Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III said that Drilon would have to eventually face the music on the excess office supplies of the Senate uncovered by the COA.

“It’s best that it’s investigated and let’s find out who did the procurement and why. It’s the best thing to do now to find out kung talagang nag overstocked,” Sotto said.

“Mananagot ang dapat managot. Ganun kasimple lang ang labanan dyan eh pera ng taong batan yan. Ang iba sa amin, iniingatan naming ang paggamit nyan eh.” Sotto said.
