Sen. Hontiveros allegedly admits accepting P8M campaign money from druglord kenneth Dong

Senator Risa Hontiveros confirmed of recieving millions of pesos of campaign donations from Kenneth Dong, one of those who acted as "middleman" in the smuggling of P6.4 billion worth of shabu from China seized last May by the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Hontiveros however distanced from Dong, saying that she barely know him even though she stood as sponsors in his wedding in November 9, 2013 along with three other senators.

The lady senator supposedly recieved a total of P8 million in campaign donation from Dong when she first ran for the Senate in 2013 and another in 2016.

"Kaya't pare-pareho kaming nagugulat ng mabanggit ang kanyang pangalan sa blue ribbon hearing," Hontiveros referring to Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, Migz Zubiri, Ralph Recto and Villanueva.

Hontiveros said she would want to hear from Dong his alleged involvement on the incident and answer all the accusations being hurled againts him.

"Inaasahan ko ang tapat at walang halong kasinungalingang pagharap nya sa blue ribbon hearing," Hontiveros said.

Senator Pangilinan admitted knowing Kenneth Dong way back when he was in his second term as senator.

Pangilinan said he did not recieved a single centavo as donation in his senatorial campaigns last 2016 elections.

"I read in the papers that Kenneth insists on his onnocence. If so, then he has nothing to hide and should answer the accusations by just telling the truth." Pangilinan said.

"We will not condone wrong doing. We believe those wrongly accused should be absolved and those guilty ne held to account regardless of they are," Pangilinan added.
